Article Processing Charges

The journal charge

As an Open Access journal, Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture and Social Studies provides immediate and free access to all published articles. Readers can view, download, print, and share articles without any financial barriers, supporting broader dissemination and impact of scholarly work.

Starting from Volume 5, Number 2 (2025), the Article Processing Charge (APC) applicable upon acceptance is:

  • USD 450 (for international authors)

  • IDR 4.000.000 (for Indonesian authors)

There are no fees for submission, page count, or color figures. The APC is charged only upon formal acceptance of the manuscript.

What Does the APC Cover?

The APC contributes to covering the full range of services necessary to ensure high-quality publication and permanent availability of articles:

  1. Editorial and Peer Review Management: Coordination of editorial decisions and peer review evaluations.

  2. Online Hosting and Website Maintenance: Ensures stable access and long-term preservation of published articles.

  3. DOI Assignment: Each article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for permanent and citable linking.

  4. Letter of Acceptance: Issued free of charge upon acceptance to support academic or professional purposes.

  5. Certificate of Publication: A digital certificate confirming publication, provided at no additional cost.

  6. Indexing and Abstracting: Facilitation of inclusion in indexing platforms such as Google Scholar, EBSCO, etc.

  7. Plagiarism Check: Each manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection tools, and the report is shared with authors.

  8. Open Access Hosting: Ensures global, unrestricted access to the full text of the article.

  9. Archiving: Secure digital archiving for long-term availability.

  10. Promotion and Dissemination: Articles are promoted via newsletters, digital platforms, and academic networks.

Payment and Refund Policy

  • Payment is due only after the manuscript is accepted.

  • Ascarya Journal does not issue refunds once an article has been formally accepted.

  • The APC must be paid in full before the article proceeds to publication.
